Director of Social Media

As Social Media Director for WFCF 88.5 I was responsible for managing the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. I had to coordinate weekly meetings with DJ's and constantly keep up to date with station agenda. I also got to work with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Big Ticket in Jacksonville on ticket giveaways for the station. The Station Manager, Maddie Schmidt, and I planned and executed WFCF's first ever Rock Block Party, to introduce new students to the station. I also implemented a social media campaign called Humans of WFCF, in which I interviewed all Student and volunteer DJ's. I also was promoted to an on-air DJ with my own show, WHAT WHAT.

Ticket Giveaways

WFCF 88.5 Presented the Backyard Block Party featuring Protomartyr with Spray Paint and UVTV at the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre. The station was given 10 tickets to giveaway on-air. My job was to promote the give away and show on all our social media platforms.

WFCF had the chance to promote the Big Ticket in Jacksonville, Florida. In return we were given 4 pairs of tickets to giveaway to our listeners. It was my job to promote the concert and spread awareness of the giveaway on all our social media platforms. Winners had the chance to win either on air or via our social media giveaway.

Rock Block Party Blowout

As the Social Media Director it was my job to promote the block party on all social media pages and on Flagler College associated pages.

Humans of wfcf/ Meet the DJ's

The purpose of this campaign was to share with the community who the DJ's are, what they do and why they do it. Essentially the goal was to put a face to the voice.

On-Air DJ

DJ-al | What-What

Along with being the Social Media Director at WFCF 88.5, I was asked to join the on-air DJ team in Spring 2015. As an on-air DJ I was responsible for playing PSA's, promos and good tunes. My DJ personality was DJ AL with WHAT WHAT every Tuesday from 7am to 9am. My show was all about sharing useless and useful facts, the audience needed to know. My slogan was "Impress your friends, anytime, anywhere." As a DJ we follow the College Music Journal charts and play alternative rock music.
